Noritake
In 1878, not long after Japan was forced to open its doors to the world by admiral Perry's black ships, the founder of Noritake, Baron Ichizaemon Morimura established an import goods shop. The Morimura Brother's first shop was in New York, and sought to benefit from the imposed free trade. He then went on to produce ceramics and establish business bases around the world. Over the years Noritake Porcelain has become one of the most famous and desirable china brands. They make countless patterns and styles and are particularly well known for the complexity of many of their patterns.
